Fritillaries in Lino Cut with Sue Leech
Another exiting new Lino Cut course for 2027 with Sue Leech from Green Door Artists in the South Lakes
TThis course is suitable for beginners as well as those with experience. Sue will demonstrate how to create your own version of this beautiful image by using lino cut and textured papers. You will then create a series of unique delicate fritillary prints which you can take home and frame. The size of your prints will be approximately A5.
You will be printing with oil based inks and using vegetable oil and washing up liquid for cleaning up. No solvents will be used. Disposable gloves will be available if required.
You are also welcome to bring along images that you would like to work from as A5 printouts or sketches.
Expert tuition will be on hand at every stage – even people who say they cannot draw create beautiful linocut prints.
Dates for this course - see the table below to book:
Saturday 17th April 2027
Sunday 6th June 2027 (Fritillary time in the Garden - hopefully!) ...
Kindly note that there will be an additional charge of £20 to cover the ink and materials. Typically this course runs with around 8 students. Suitable for Beginners
Please bring: Materials are provided, but do wear old clothes and comfortable shoes. Please bring reading glasses if you use them. Sue will bring suitable reference material, but if you prefer you can bring your own images for inspiration.
