Public Transport and Driving / Parking Instructions for those attending a Quirky Workshop

DRIVING to your Workshop in GREYSTOKE

We have very limited parking at the venue with two spaces reserved for disabled badge holders or similar - please ask for a parking space at the time of booking.

Our planning consent is based upon all other students attending Workshops to use the FREE village car park, We therefore ask all students to refrain from parking closer to the venue.

Please allow an extra 7-10 minutes to park in the free Greystoke village Car Park and walk the few hundred yards along our flat country lanes,  sometimes alongside racehorses, or along a path by the stream, to their workshop, and help us retain the character of this lovely village.

New Parking Info

There are two walking routes, both are flat and involve some roads, we recommend Option 1.

  1. Pink dashes on map … Walk right out of the car park and after 75yds the footpath starts under the road sign by the stream. Take the path keeping the stream on your left. (see below photo of the footpath view)
  2. Alternatively, from the car park, turn left and walk to your class via the village green/road with a few sections of footpath and perhaps alongside race horses. Head right from the green following road signs for Blencow.

If you feel unable to walk, please arrange to be dropped off, or let us know so that we can reserve you one of the 2 parking spaces here.

Maintaining the rural character of the village and good neighbourly relations are equally important to us.

NOTE; as you near the venue the footpath disappears and you will approach a corner. Contrary to Highway Code guidance, PLEASE, PLEASE always walk towards us on the LEFT i.e. the OUTSIDE of the bend.  Cyclists & electric cars often speed around this blind bend from the north. On this blind corner it’s potentially very dangerous to walk facing the traffic.
