During the course we will explore the beds and borders, wildlife pond, wildflower meadow and nooks and crannies that attract an abundance of wildlife to Annie’s garden. We will explore the quirkiness of the sustainable techniques incorporated into her unique garden and give you some inspiration and ideas for you to take back to your own outdoor space.

Join this very popular local tutor, and discover the expressive possibilities of collagraph printmaking in this engaging two-day workshop with artist and printer Jenny McCabe. Designed for both beginners and experienced printmakers, this course is all about creativity, exploration, and hands-on making.
Across the two days, participants will experiment with a variety of collagraph techniques using simple card and mixed materials to build richly textured plates. You’ll learn how to ink, wipe and print your plates to produce a range of unique, hand-pulled prints - with plenty of time to play, explore, and see what’s possible.
Jenny’s teaching style is relaxed, supportive, and full of practical tips, creating a friendly environment where you can experiment freely and gain confidence in your own creative process. A day with Polly - and with the help of 'Bun-head' - making your own statement in Lino cut, maybe incorporating some of her ready cut blocks!

Spend a day with Polly devising your own meaningful, printed 'piece' from a word, name or letter, to make someone smile! Draw it out, transfer to Lino under Polly's careful guidance and create your own original Lino Cut Print into which you can incorporate Polly's wonderful figures and/ or symbols if you wish.

Paint, Print and Stitch
Paint, print and stitch a canvas with Kay Leech

A lovely day with Kay being guided through the process pf creating using paint, then print, and stitch. Working in mixed media you will create a picture based on flowers, you can bring your own image or use one of the ones provided for inspiration.
You will paint the background directly onto calico and then add layers with simple stencils and print blocks that you have created. Finally you will add stitch which can be machine and or hand embroidery and embellish with beads and buttons.

Over this busy one day course you will together learn how to build a cob pizza oven and so take the knowledge home with you to recreate your very own outdoor pizza oven in your own garden. Starting with an existing plinth you will prepare, level and install the fire brick base and learn all about the importance of materials to use and insulation levels.
