Workshop Voucher

 We're told our Quirky days are considered real treats!  Workshops begin with a warm welcome, fresh coffees and home-made biscuits. Mid-morning coffee is followed by a tasty home-made lunch; and our cream teas are a favourite way to end the day.  On warmer summer days, lunch can be taken out on the original ‘Greystoke Cycle Café’ Tea lawn.  When it's possible, some of the Workshops take place outside too.

We’re fortunate to have a considerable wealth of talented tutors  – trusted favourites that students come back for, year after year! Many have been sharing their considerable creative talents and skill here, since our very beginnings back in 2005.  There are a few who teach only here within the North West.

Each year we also welcome a wide range of new and visiting tutors to add variety to the programme.  Their expertise is highlighted our annual late October email, sent to all on our database.   

How to Buy Open Vouchers

(We’ll send them straight to your inbox for you to print at home!)

Our Quirky Open Vouchers are available 24/7 right here on this page, using a simple checkout system that’s separate from our main booking system.

1. Choose your voucher amount and proceed to CHECKOUT.

2. Payments are processed securely via PayPal, where you can either pay by debit/credit card or log in to your PayPal account.

3. You’ll receive an email confirmation straight away, including a voucher template ready to print. (If it doesn’t arrive, please check your spam/junk folder.)

Once the Quirky Workshops office is open, we’ll send your voucher verification code (V Code) by email to confirm payment. Simply write this code on your printed voucher.

If you’re eager to use your voucher right away, you can instead use the Invoice Number from your automated confirmation email (for example, QW-INV-16).

Need something a little more special? We’re happy to create a personalised voucher (e.g. for a retirement or birthday). Just let us know — it may take a few days.

Voucher Terms

• Vouchers must be used to book a course taking place within 16 months of the purchase date.

• Any remaining balance on your workshop can be paid by BACS.

• Unused voucher credit can be put towards materials costs on the same course — just ask us!

• Vouchers have no cash value and are non-refundable.

• After 16 months, the voucher’s value will reduce by 50% annually.

Voucher Holders should book their courses as soon as possible.  Please use the waiting lists, and we will email you when new dates/ spaces appear. When we do, it's worth booking quickly to reserve your space.

Open Vouchers are ideal for anyone with a wide range of interests — especially those who love trying new things!

They’re also a great way to take the guesswork out of giving. With over 130+ Quirky Workshops to choose from, recipients can browse at their leisure, pick the course that excites them most, and look forward to a truly special experience.

We do recommend booking as soon as possible, as workshop spaces can fill quickly. If a course is full, please join the waiting list — new dates and spaces often appear, and we’ll be in touch when they do. Just be ready to book quickly when openings come up!

Or Maybe Book a Specific Course Place?

If you already know the recipient has their heart set on a particular workshop — especially around Christmas, when new programmes are just released — it’s often best to book that place right away rather than buying a voucher.

Workshops can fill up quickly, and while we do our best to keep favourites running, we can’t always guarantee future availability — tutors may retire, or some courses may come off the programme.

A Bit of Christmas Flexibility 🎁

For those gifting a specific workshop place this Christmas (Dec 25), we’re offering a little extra flexibility: recipients have until Monday, 12th January 2026 to transfer their booking to another available course or convert it to an Open Voucher, without paying the usual admin fees. Just contact us before 13 January 2026.

For birthday or other special-occasion gifts, every situation is unique — just get in touch, and we’ll do our best to help.

This lovely village of Greystoke nestles in rolling countryside on the fringes of the northern Lake District, a few miles from Ullswater, in beautiful Cumbria.  There are several B&B options locally and a village pub serving food. It’s a quick 5 miles from Penrith, Junction 40 of the M6 and the West Coast mainline to Euston. We have two creative Studios at Greystoke Craft Garden and Barns ...

The Swallow Barn

Our wonderful, new, airy, 60m2 listed first floor studio, up a fairly steep flight of stairs, where most of our courses take place. It allows for comfortable spacing of 9-10 tables, sinks, and an open ceiling providing much natural light from roof lights.  It receives consistently excellent feedback.  

The Squirrel Barn

Some workshops also take place in this lovely ground floor studio, from where, pre-2020, we’ve operated our entire programme for the last 15 years, since our very first Quirky Workshops in 2005. 

Now recently upgraded, the ‘Squirrel Barn’, has several new windows and a pair of beautiful French doors leading to a lovely sunny and sheltered, patio garden surrounded by raised beds. It has made a very special and private space.

It is up 3 steps off the gravel driveway - sometimes however, space is limited inside due to table layout and tutor resources.
