Come and join lovely local artist tutor Lis Bramwell for a fun, relaxed half day workshop and take your first steps with Watercolours painting some of our loveliest Spring blooms.
We will be painting a clump of welcome Spring Snowdrops in the morning session, followed by tulips in the afternoon session or choose to stay for the full day and we will include a tasty home made lunch.
Lis is an experienced tutor who will guide you step by step, through observational drawing and watercolour techniques using demonstration and individual tuition. Along the way you will be creating your own unique painting and stepping into the world of the watercolour artist for just a few hours of relaxing and creative Botanicals.
10.00am-1.00pm Snowdrops 2.00pm-500pm Tulips
£45 inc fresh coffee/tea & home made biscuits
Book both am/pm sessions and lunch will be included.
Material Charges : £10 or you can bring your own (recommended below)

Typically this course runs with around 9-10 students.
Please bring: If you are completely new to watercolours and have no materials they can be purchased on the day for £10 and this applies to half day or full day options. Otherwise feel free to bring your own.
HB pencil ~ Rubber ~ Brush with fine tip sizes 0-2. ~ Hot pressed botanical art paper 140lb.~ Cartridge paper optional
Paints: Winsor and Newton Cotman or Artist water colour. Sap green, oxide of chromium, lemon yellow, hookers green dark.
For the tulip session add a petal colour of you choice (purple lake is used in the painting shown).

About the Artist: Lis Bramwell is a local artist and experienced teacher. She remembers how daunting those first steps into painting can be. She passionately believes that we are all creative beings and can learn the techniques needed to fulfil our artistic dreams. Her love of nature , particularly wildflowers, inspires her paintings. She enjoys drawing and likes working with graphite and watercolour pencils as well as watercolour paints.
